甲基二苯基乙氧基硅烷（DPMEOS）是一種重要的有機硅特種單體，因分子中不僅含有2個苯基基因，還含有1個活潑的乙氧基官能團，從而可進一步反應合成其他一系列的甲基二苯基有機硅化合物或直接用作各種表面處理劑、偶聯劑、交聯劑等。DPMEOS及水解得到的低聚體如1,1,'2,2'-四苯基二甲基二硅氧烷。
性質：與水反應，放出乙醇，生成甲基二苯基硅醇及其縮合物二甲基四苯基二硅氧烷。用來合成有機硅中間體及直鏈聚硅氧烷的封端劑。

Methyldiphenylethoxysilane (DPMEOS) is an important organosilicon special monomer, because the molecule contains not only 2 phenyl genes, but also 1 active ethoxy functional group, which can be further reacted and synthesized. Properties: It reacts with water and releases ethanol to generate methyldiphenylsilanol and its condensate dimethyltetraphenyldisiloxane. End-capping agent for the synthesis of organosilicon intermediates and linear polysiloxanes.
